• Rare toy breed selectively bred for calm companionship and sweet, engaging personalities

• Breed introduced in the USA in the late 1980s and shares common ancestry with the Papillon, Maltese and Japanese Chin.

• Weights range from 3 to 10 pounds. The average adult weighs 4 - 8 pounds.

• Excellent therapy dogs – sweet natured and easygoing

• Great companion dogs - happy, loving and sweet

• Excellent health in the pure bred lines

• Very intelligent and easy to train

• Don’t need to be walked, happy in condos and apartments but love to be walked or go for a run if you wish

• Will use a litter box, piddle pads or can go outside as you desire

• Hypoallergenic, low to non-shedding dog - They are single coated and have hair instead of fur. Many people who are allergic to dog hair or dander experience no allergic reaction around Mi-Kis.

• Love kids, cats and dogs - large or small (but won’t argue with being the only pet either). Easy going, gentle personalities allow this dog to be a part of almost any home.

• Bi-colored, tri-colored, solids and dilutes, but solids are rare and prized

• Colors include cream, red, silver, black, white, blue, apricot, sable, gold, brown, beige, tan, chocolate, brindle, fawn, mahogany. Mi-Ki puppies will often change color before they reach adulthood.

• Two coat types - long and smooth (smooth coats do not have beard and mustache, body hair is shorter and require almost no grooming) - Both coat types feature a heavily plumed                                                            tail curved over                                                     the back.

• Two coat texture types – Silky lies close to the body and requires little grooming. Cotton has a puffy, fuller look, mats easier and requires more grooming than the silky coat. It is still easy to maintain with a weekly brushing.

• Ear Settings – Mi-Kis can have erect (up ears), drop (down ears), folded or even winged ears. All Mi-Kis have mobile and expressive ears.

• Live into their teens

• Recognized by the States Kennel Club, International All Breed Canine Association, National Canine Association and Bahamas Kennel Club
